As a lifelong resident of Lorain, Ron Yacobozzi considers himself lucky to have a local hospital that provides quality, compassionate care.

“I’ve always used Mercy Health — Lorain Hospital,” he says. “I was born there. My mother received care there. My whole family, my kids and my grandkids all go to Mercy. By supporting the Mercy Health Foundation Lorain, I can help many, many people.”

Ron makes most of his donations to the Foundation through his business – 1st Nationwide Title Agency, Ltd. His gifts have been directed to the Lorain Sisters of the Humility of Mary Legacy Fund and Greatest Needs.

“When I go to the hospital, I know that I played some part in the care given to anybody walking through those doors,” Ron says.

“When you see how other people benefit by what little you can give, you get a sense of purpose. And that’s what life’s all about. Life is about helping each other.”
