Darin Wiswell lives by the motto: “It is better to give, than to receive.” He shows it with his contributions to the Mercy Health Foundation Lorain.

“I like making a difference and helping others,” Darin says. “My family has personal experience with Mercy Health — Lorain Hospital. I would hope that if we needed help someday, there would be others giving in order to help us.”

Darin is also a member of the board of directors of the Foundation. In addition to making financial contributions, he believes his service is just part of being a community.

“I’m a little old-fashioned in that I think it is good to keep things local, whether that is shopping or helping your neighbors,” he says. “I know the Foundation is a good steward of donations received. Seeing how my contributions are helping people right here is very important to me.”
