Mary Grinnell’s passion for giving is rooted in a lifetime shaped by faith and service in Catholic health care.

“Our desire to give started in 1980,” Mary says. That is when her husband, Steve, began working with the Sisters of St. Agnes. “We witnessed their deep care for others and their commitment to healing. We really admired their commitment to Christ’s healing ministry.”

Today, that experience continues to guide and reinforces Mary’s support of the Mercy Health Foundation Lourdes.

“Lourdes has a long history of serving the community for the right reasons,” Mary says. “It’s about meeting people where they are. And, supporting the caregivers who provide that service every day.”

From the Mercy Health — Heart and Vascular Institute to the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Mercy Health, Mary has seen the impact of her gifts. She has also seen how much the community values the Foundation for listening and responding to peoples’ needs. Mary invites others to share in that joy of giving back.
