Anita gives to support grieving children at Camp Robin
Anita Williams is called to support Camp Robin, a camp for grieving children. Perhaps it stems from losing her sister to cervical cancer when she was only 16 years old. Or maybe it is because later she lost both of her children to complicated illnesses. But whatever the cause, she's always felt compelled to act.
“I feel that everyone has a purpose in life. Mine has always been to advocate for others, especially children.”
Anita worked as a volunteer for the foster system for nearly three decades where she helped countless children. Then she worked as a counselor at a local school, where she first learned about Camp Robin.
Anita is continuing to fulfill her life's mission, as a donor to the Mercy Health Foundation Lourdes. She chooses to direct her gifts, in part, to support Camp Robin.
“I felt like it was a good thing to advocate for,” she says. “The children need this.”
