Theresa and Bill give because they believe that giving is receiving
Supporting Mercy Health Foundation has always been important to Theresa and her husband, Bill Jones. But when they made a significant gift to the Mercy Health Ray & Ray Eckstein Hospice Care Center, they didn’t realize how much their family would benefit.
“My husband lost a son from a previous marriage to childhood cancer,” says Theresa.
“We were able to donate a room at the hospice center in his honor. It wasn’t long after the center opened that my stepfather needed respite care. That care was such a blessing because we were all struggling.”
Theresa is now a member of Impact Lourdes women’s giving society. She helps ensure that her community’s health care is always advancing.
“When you have a family member who needs help in the hospital, you are so grateful that people donate. These donations make the hospital more innovative and better able to take care of your loved one,” she says. “Giving is receiving and it’s so important to do that if you can.”
