Ada’s Story

Adabelle Narvaez-Bostwick spent her career solving complex problems as chief engineer for aeronautics at NASA Glenn Research Center. In 2017, she faced her hardest one yet. A breast cancer diagnosis arrived just one week after dropping her son off at college, setting off a journey through fear, treatment and survivorship that would change her life. Then in 2023, her husband Cameron was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. They lost him a year later. Your gift supports the Celebrate Survivorship retreat and programs like it that give women and families facing cancer something powerful: community, hope and the chance to keep fighting.

Meet Kerry Muhlenkamp

Robert’s Story

When Robert Seitzer left the military in 1995, the support systems for veterans dealing with trauma were few and far between. He had been through combat, carried the weight of PTSD, and had little recourse. Thirty years later, he knows how much has changed and how much your generosity makes possible. Tom’s Story

Tom Fiorille spent more than 30 years as a chemical engineer in California and planned to retire there. Then his daughter faced a health crisis and everything changed. Tom and his wife sold their home and moved to Ohio without hesitation. Shortly after, a perceptive new doctor ordered an MRI that revealed stage four prostate cancer. Your gift to Mercy Health St. Rita's Cancer Center helped make what followed possible. A series of photon treatments successfully eliminated the cancer, and the care team Tom calls angels gave him the courage and strength to get through it all.
