Mercy Health – Irvine, KY

Your gift provides great care close to home for patients like Connie

Connie Glasson knows a thing or two about rehabilitation and occupational health services. She is mother to two special needs children who benefit from regular therapy. Both she and her husband have rehabbed from injuries and surgeries. Because of you, the Glasson family has been able to enjoy therapy services close to home at Mercy Health — Marcum and Wallace Hospital.

“We’ve been going there for a long time,” Connie says. “They do an excellent job, and we are so grateful.”

Connie shudders to think what she would do if rehabilitation services weren’t available in Irvine. Her children have received physical, occupational and speech therapy. How far would she have to travel to find those services elsewhere? Would she have to cut back on appointments, potentially setting her children back? Because of you, she doesn’t have to think about those questions.

“My son has been going since he was a few months old. My daughter has been going since she was five. The staff has always been so helpful,” she says.

Connie has also used physical therapy services after shoulder surgery and a knee replacement. She’s about to undergo another knee replacement and will start her rehabilitation shortly after. She wants you to know how important your gift has been to help her get back on her feet.

“I want donors to know their money is being well-spent,” Connie says. “When a child needs a special piece of equipment, their gift helps make sure it is there for them. I can’t say enough about everything they do for us.”
