b'From Our Board Chair & PresidentDear donors, board members, leaders andFoundation team,We are proud and grateful to share that 2021 was a banner year for the Bon Secours Mercy Health Foundation, with many achievements and stories of impact to celebrate. And its no small feat that our successes come as we mark only two full years as a combined Foundation, most of that time spent working in a virtual environment. These positive outcomes are a John Harris, III result of the alignment, processes and strategies weve implemented, working as a unified team to best support local fundraising and the local needs in the communities we serve.Most notably, our fundraising revenue exceeded $105 million last year, an increase of 54% over 2020 and exceeding our target by 42%. As part of Now Near Far, we projected increases in revenue (lift) for each year Contents from 2021 to 2023 by using 2019 results as a baseline. We had projected a total lift of $16.8 million over the three years, yet we realized a $30.4 million lift in2021 Achievements .4 2021 alone.Now Near Far .5 Our grants team led the total lift, with government Consolidated & grants accounting for over 41% of fundraising revenue Market Results .6 in 2021. Grant revenue in 2021 increased by a Financial Overview 8 tremendous 51% over the previous year. Non-renewable Tim Koder Covid funding accounted for half of grant revenue, while Baltimore 10 the other half is from renewable sources to support the Charleston .12 ministrys health care services and community health outreach programs.Cincinnati .14Greenville .16 Planned giving and corporate/foundation giving also saw significant increases, with planned giving revenue Hampton Roads 18 increasing 61% over 2019 baseline and corporate/Irvine20 foundation giving increasing by 43%.Lima .22 The BSMH Foundation is proving to be agile in Lorain 24 responding to crisis situations like the Covid pandemic and, most recently, the tornadoes that hit western Paducah .26 Kentucky. Our team partnered with HR, Mission and Richmond .28 Kentucky market leadership to quickly respond to the immediate and long-term needs of associates affected Springfield 30 by the tornadoes. In 24 hours, our team deployed a Toledo .32 campaign with themed online giving pages, internal Youngstown .34 communications and email appeals to BSMH associates and Foundation board members. Over $100,000 was Glossary & donated to the Caring For Our Own Fund specifically to Foundation help our affected colleagues, and the BSMH Foundation Leadership 36 board of directors promptly committed an initialBoard Giving .38 $8 million to further support impacted associates!'
