Unless you’ve had an MRI test, it’s hard to explain how it can feel. Many say it’s scary, claustrophobic, suffocating – all words that could be used to describe the process. But, thanks to you, patients at Mercy Health are changing those words to calming, relaxing and easy.

Your support of the MRI Caring Suite is helping patients like Morgan Baker get the care they need. But, without all the stress. Morgan needed her first MRI for neck and back pain, and she said she was very nervous about the procedure.

“I was surprised the room was really spacious, and I didn’t feel cramped,” Morgan says. “The staff was so nice. They kept me informed through the whole process. But it was the ability to watch videos during the test that was a game-changer for me. The videos helped so much by distracting me and helping pass the time. I was there for nearly an hour, and it seemed like 20 minutes.”

Morgan wants you to know how important your gift is to her, and for the entire community.

“I definitely want to say thank you for supporting the Caring Suite,” she says. “To donors, it might just mean giving money. But they may not realize how much they are helping people who could experience a lot of anxiety during an MRI. But now, there are ways to help keep you calm. I’m so appreciative of people willing to help with those changes and help others.”
