Mercy Health Foundation Greater Cincinnati celebrated Dr. Alaba Robinson's birthday with a women's health fair
Thanks to donor support, nearly 80 women received free mammograms that day
On August 23, area residents flocked to Dr. Robinson's Breast Birthday Ever. As always, it was open to the public in the parking lot outside Mercy Health – Forest Park Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Why the parking lot? So two mobile mammography units could pull up and administer complimentary services, of course.
Guests enjoyed all the birthday essentials like music, drinks, snacks and birthday cake. But, more important, they also had easy access to free screening services. By the end of the day, 78 women received mammograms.
"It meant the world to me to be able to provide a fun and empowering event that encouraged women to prioritize their health," said Dr. Robinson. And it was all made possible by contributions from donors like you.
Screenings like mammograms are vital. They're the first line of defense against breast cancer. Making them easy to access is part of what improves the overall health of our community. When you give to the Foundation, your dollars turn into services like these and you impact countless lives. And that's something to celebrate!
