Tom’s Story

Tom Fiorille spent more than 30 years as a chemical engineer in California and planned to retire there. Then his daughter faced a health crisis and everything changed. Tom and his wife sold their home and moved to Ohio without hesitation. Shortly after, a perceptive new doctor ordered an MRI that revealed stage four prostate cancer. Your gift to Mercy Health St. Rita's Cancer Center helped make what followed possible. A series of photon treatments successfully eliminated the cancer, and the care team Tom calls angels gave him the courage and strength to get through it all.

Kahdijah’s Story

Kahdijah Ramey knew she wanted to return to Bon Secours at The Birthplace at Mary Immaculate Hospital for her second delivery. Deylon’s Story

When 26-year-old Deylon Quarles went to the emergency room for stomach issues, he expected a quick fix. What he found was a life-changing colon cancer diagnosis and a care team that never left his side. Your generosity helped make the new Bon Secours Harbour View Medical Center possible, bringing state-of-the-art technology and expanded surgical services to the community. For Deylon, those resources were the difference between life and death. After surgery, chemotherapy, and a clear colonoscopy, he rang the bell just before Christmas and hasn't looked back since.

Meet Paul Craven

For Paul and Leslie Craven, supporting the Bon Secours St. Francis Foundation is a year-round commitment with a festive kickoff. Each holiday season, the couple hosts their signature Martinis and Mistletoe Party and supports the Festival of Trees. Throughout the year, they give to programs like mobile mammography and Project SEARCH, programs they see making a real difference in Greenville's underserved communities. For Paul, the pride of giving back is personal and visible every time he spots the big pink mammography bus out in the community.

Julie’s Story

Health care providers give so much of themselves to their patients, but who looks after them? Thanks to donor support, the Dr. H. Earle Russell Physician and Associate Wellness Fund is bringing mental health resources, wellness events, and peer support programs to Bon Secours St. Francis physicians and employees. Medical Director of Wellbeing Dr. Julie Dangler is leading the charge, building initiatives one step at a time with the goal of ensuring that when associates thrive, patients do too.

Samuel’s Story

After suffering a stroke and facing recovery without insurance, Samuel Bryant didn't know how he'd manage the medications he needed. Your support made it possible. The Meds to Beds program at Bon Secours St. Francis Health System, supported by the Gallivan Family Medications of Hope, delivered his prescriptions directly to him before discharge and provided affordable access to the rest. Today, Samuel is back to work and on track with his treatment plan, grateful for the donors who stepped up when he had nothing to fall back on.
