Why I Give: Seeing is believing
Michael Fawcett became a donor after seeing the Bon Secours St. Francis Mission in action. A friend introduced him to the St. Francis Forum. There Michael gained a firsthand look at how the hospital cares for patients and serves the community.
“It was really eye-opening. The hospital does so much, and they truly treat people with compassion,” he says.
Michael is glad to see the hospital helping people who have had a hard time getting health care. Seeing this makes giving more meaningful to him.
“It’s a good feeling to help those who are in need,” Michael says. “Especially when we can reach people who haven’t had that access to care over the years.”
For anyone considering becoming a donor to the Foundation, Michael has a simple suggestion: see the care for yourself.
“Go to the emergency room and see how the employees, nurses and doctors treat people,” he says. “They truly bring compassion to health care.”
