Hospice care is about making memories
People in their final days—and the families that love them—depend on our donors for the comfort and support they need at the most difficult of times
Thanks to you, our dependable donors, Mercy Health Lourdes Hospice provides hospice and palliative care services for adults and children across 16 counties in western Kentucky and southern Illinois. Your gift for hospice care means a person's final months, weeks and days are dignified and peaceful; a time to share memories and treasure moments together.
Each person has unique needs and wishes when it comes to end-of-life care. Mercy Health Lourdes Hospice provides services wherever a patient calls home or at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center when inpatient hospice or respite care is needed.
With help from donors like you, every patient in hospice receives care for the whole person—body, mind and spirit. Your generosity will make a difference for families in the most challenging of times.
Mercy Health Lourdes Hospice
Donations are vital to continue providing hospice services in this area. Hundreds of people at the end of their life's journey turn to Lourdes Hospice each year for comfort from pain and symptoms and compassionate emotional support for themselves and their loved ones. A team of doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, health care aids and others support patients' physical, emotional and spiritual needs and help them get their affairs in order.
Donations to Mercy Health Foundation Lourdes for hospice allow every patient to receive this special end-of-life care, even if they don't have insurance or can't afford to pay. Donations allow the Foundation to cover any costs not covered by a patient's medical insurance. And provide for any special needs that help patients and their families receive hospice services, like safe housing, utility bills, transportation or even hotel rooms for out of town family members.

Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center
When a hospice patient needs an inpatient level of care to manage pain and symptoms or when their caregiver at home needs a respite break, the Eckstein Hospice Care Center on the campus of Lourdes Hospital offers 10 patient rooms in a beautiful, homelike setting. The Foundation depends on charitable giving from donors like you to maintain the Center, replace worn furnishings and equipment, and support the needs of patients and their loved ones.
When you give, you provide a comforting place for a person to spend time surrounded by family and friends, and to be cared for with compassion and dignity.
