Giving back to Bon Secours is a way for David Scott to honor the care that carried him through one of life’s most difficult seasons. He suffered a heart attack and underwent quadruple bypass surgery. He experienced not only exceptional medical care, but renewed hope. 

“I spent some pretty dark hours in that hospital,” he says. “My faith in God came back to me there and has stayed with me ever since.” 

David credits his physicians, nurses and every member of the care team with helping him recover physically and spiritually. Their compassion inspired him to become a regular donor to the Bon Secours Hampton Roads Foundation. He supports the Greatest Needs Fund. 

“Bon Secours did me right,” he says. “Everyone treated me with kindness and respect.”

Today, David gives to help others receive the same level of care he experienced. 

“I believe it’s only right that I repay, in some small way, my thanks for everything they did for me,” he says.
