Charlie Fairchild has many reasons for giving to Bon Secours Hampton Roads Foundation. Chief among them is her belief in a ministry of healing.

“Health care at its core is about compassion, dignity and service,” she says. “It means investing in a system that sees patients as people first. It means ensuring the underserved and vulnerable—or people just facing a difficult time—receive quality care.”

Charlie has seen the Foundation do just that. Giving of her time and resources has allowed Charlie to see a big impact in her community.

“We have a new hospital. We have a new mammogram center. We have new birthing rooms and mothers who want to come deliver at Bon Secours. As we bring on better technology and great physicians, it opens a door to more people,” she says.

“I believe health care is more than just a treatment, it’s a ministry. I believe in caring for the sick. I believe in caring for them physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally.”
