As a Mercy Health associate donor, Darrick Applegate has seen the impact of his giving firsthand.

In his role as clinical resource manager, he makes sure providers have what they need to deliver great care. He sees a connection between his job and what the Mercy Health Foundation Greater Toledo does for Mercy Health.

"It's about bringing access to patients who need it. The Foundation is there to help everyone.”

Darrick says he feels a responsibility to give back in return for the blessings he has received. It means a little bit more that he is able to see the impact of his gifts on people close to him.

"I had a coworker whose home burned down, and the Foundation was able to help her with expenses. Knowing that I helped contribute to that really makes me feel good,” he says. “You never know if someone you know could benefit due to an unforeseen situation.”
