Dr. Vicek gives to support heart care in her community
As an orthodontist, Dr. Robyn Vicek is a pillar of the local community. She’s not just passionate about healthy smiles. She’s also passionate about heart health.
“It’s important for me to have a great relationship with Mercy Health personally,” she said. “My family has had heart issues in the past, so I assume someday I may have them, too. Knowing that I can stay here in town to take care of myself is huge.”
“Our hospital is a staple of this community. I donate because it’s the right thing to do, and I like to give and help others.”
Dr. Vicek has been involved with Mercy Health for over 15 years. When she heard one of the treadmills in the cardiopulmonary unit was wearing out, she stepped up and provided a new one. For her, it’s about supporting health beyond orthodontic care.
“I hope I can make a difference and encourage others to donate as well.”
