Thanks to our donors, 620 students started the school year with new backpacks filled with school supplies
Bon Secours Community Works hosted its annual Back to School celebration at the Community Resource Center
West Baltimore kids were all smiles as summer break came to an end, thanks to Bon Secours Community Works' eighth annual Back to School event at the Community Resource Center on August 18. The celebration drew 620 students and their families to prepare for the new school year by offering new backpacks full of school supplies and free haircuts.
Attendees enjoyed free meals and treats like cotton candy, popcorn and snowballs. Kids lined up for face painting, a moon bounce and the video game party truck. A professional DJ kept spirits high for all ages!
Because of Bon Secours Baltimore Foundation's grant funders and donors, hundreds of students were ready and excited for their first day of school. The Foundation depends on charitable support for the Community Works programs and services that provide West Baltimore families with helpful resources like the Back to School event.
