Make an Impact
Everyone needs life-saving health care for a better life. You can help.
Nobody should have to choose between paying their bills or getting their medications
Our assistance programs help people get the health care services they need, even if they don’t have insurance or the ability to pay
At Mercy Health, our Mission isn't a plaque on the wall. It's our calling, our True North. Patient assistance programs are just one way we improve the health and well-being of our communities and bring good help to those in need, especially to those who are poor, dying and underserved.
But we need your help. Your generous support means the most vulnerable people in our community can access resources for better health and a better life.
Cherry Street Legacy Project
Toledo’s first hospital—today’s Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center—was built on Cherry Street in 1855. Since the beginning, Mercy Health has been committed to this neighborhood in Toledo's central city and invests millions of dollars into hospital services and toward revitalization projects in the surrounding area.
With help from donations and partnerships, Mercy Health actively works with local businesses and community groups to revitalize a two-mile stretch of Cherry Street to give residents a healthier, safer, more walkable and sustainable place to call home. Mercy Health Franklin Avenue Medical Center in the neighborhood provides clinics and physician offices for the whole family, offering a more convenient and affordable option for health care than the Emergency Department. Staff also conduct health screenings, wellness events and educational opportunities for residents.

Patient Assistance Funds
Each of our hospitals has a fund dedicated to helping patients with their basic needs by providing resources that will help them continue to heal at home. Donations to our Care Funds assist qualifying patients with medications, transportation to and from appointments, home medical equipment and even groceries or household bills.
