Laura Danko was very sick. She was in and out of the hospital and in and out of ICU with complications from her unmanaged diabetes.

Fortunately for Laura, your donation supports the Mercy Outreach Program for chronic disease patients like herself. Program administrator, Beverly, stepped in at a critical time for Laura.

“She does everything for me. She makes sure that I have my diabetes supplies and medicine. She goes to doctors appointments with me to make sure I understand everything. And she even goes to my training sessions when I get my new equipment,” Laura says.

Your gift allows Mercy Outreach to go out into the community to meet at-risk patients where they are.

“I am doing very well compared to how I used to be. I have a very stressful life. It was really hard for me to take care of myself, but Beverly stepped up and brought me out of it. I don’t know if I’d be here today if it wasn’t for her.”

In addition to helping her with health care, Laura says that the program also helps her manage he life. Mental health resources, chaplain services and even visits to the food pantry for essentials are among the services she utilizes.
