Toledo Mission Partners come together for winter meeting
Members join Mercy Health leaders for updates and holiday celebration
One of the perks of membership for companies and individuals that annually contribute at the Mission Partners level is the opportunity to network with other members and Mercy Health Toledo leaders. The second Toledo Mission Partners meeting of 2023 was held on December 7.
Bob Baxter, President of Mercy Health Toledo, welcomed the group of generous donors and provided an update on the health system's initiatives that support communities and residents across northwest Ohio. One topic of interest was the closure of McLaren St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee, OH, announced in mid-2023. Mercy Health Toledo reached an agreement with St. Luke's parent company, McLaren Health Care, to acquire the facilities and physical assets of the shuttered hospital with the intent to restore some outpatient services.
Alison Avendt, President of Mercy Health Perrysburg Hospital, and Brad Grosteffon, CFO of Mercy Health Toledo, were also guest speakers providing updates for the group. Following the informative meeting, Toledo Mission Partners attended the Mercy Health Christmas party for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and festive fellowship in the St. Luke's Auditorium.
Toledo Mission Partners is a new giving program launched in 2023. Primarily appealing to businesses and corporations looking to maximize the impact of their charitable giving in the local region, membership offers recognition and participation in Mercy Health Foundation events and activities for one donation of $5,000, $10,000 or $20,000 annually.
Thank you to the Toledo Mission Partners!
