You give Lakeisha and her children the support they need to succeed
When Lakeisha Henry had to move her family to Elyria recently, she found herself without even the basic necessities to set up her new home. The Resource Mothers program that you support came to her aid.
“I moved in September, and I didn’t have anything,” she recalls. “My Resource Mother helped me out with beds for us, furniture, cooking utensils and even diapers and wipes. Anything I need, she helps with.”
Because you support the Resource Mothers program, Lakeisha was also able to take part in the Rock N Read program, where she was given a rocking chair and books to read to her two young sons. Since her oldest son struggles with speech development, Lakeisha is grateful for the free books that she can share with him.
“The Rock N Read program is helping out with his speech and in getting him prepared for school next year.”
Lakeisha says that the Resource Mothers program has provided the support she needs to ensure that her boys are healthy and happy. She is grateful that your donations to the Foundation make that support possible for her.
“Sometimes when I am low on diapers or food, my Resource Mother comes through for me. She helps me out a lot.”
“I am very appreciative of the program and all of the things she provides for me,” she says. “Without Resource Mothers, sometimes I wouldn’t even make it through the day or the week.”
