Pecola can get her diabetes medications to stay healthy because of you
Pecola Hunter runs a daycare program in her home. With nine children around every day, it’s enough to keep her feeling young. But she needs three insulin medications to stay healthy and control her diabetes.
Because of your donation, Pecola benefits from Mercy Health’s Prescription Assistance Program to get the diabetes medications she needs but can’t afford. She is thankful that her doctor told her about the program early in her diagnosis.
“There is no way I would be able to purchase my insulin otherwise. They help out with all of the cost, and even provide needles. It’s just a wonderful program.”
Pecola no longer has the anxiety of needing life-saving medications and not being able to pay for them. She is grateful that your support affords her the health to help families in her area by caring for their children while they work.
