Donors help Arthur afford the medicine he needs
Arthur Williams manages diabetes and high blood pressure by relying on daily medications. Without the generous help donors provide through their gifts, these are medications that he simply could not afford.
“The Prescription Assistance Program has helped me afford two or three medications that I can’t afford on my own,” Arthur says. “Without it, more than likely, I would have just gone without.”
Arthur first learned about the program through a friend. That conversation changed his life. By enrolling in the program, he gained access to the critical prescriptions that keep his health stable and his future more secure.
The reality is that many people in our community face the same challenges Arthur does. Prescription costs can be overwhelming. Faced with no alternative, patients often face the difficult choice of skipping doses, only taking partial doses or going without them entirely. Left untreated, chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure can lead to life-threatening ailments like heart attack or stroke.
Because of donor support, Arthur can focus on living his life instead of worrying about how to pay for his prescriptions. His story is a powerful reminder that every gift to programs like this can directly change lives for the better.
Arthur is deeply grateful to have access to these services.
