John Rinaldi made the greater Cleveland area laugh for more than 50 years as part of the comedy duo Big Chuck and Lil John. Today, John is a member of a new team, the Mercy Health Foundation Lorain board of directors. There, he is making a difference for those in need.

“I wasn't looking to be on a board. But I was looking for something that would benefit people. My whole career in comedy was to make people laugh and feel good.”

After meeting members of the Foundation’s board, John learned more about the philosophies that drive the organization. He knew he was ready to join them in serving the community. “I like the idea of working with low-income families and people in need,” John explains.

John is also impressed with how the Board functions and puts donor gifts to work for people in Lorain. “It's a well-oiled machine," he says. "They definitely have goals for what they want to do and those are goals I share.”
