When women can't get to their mammogram appointment, take the mammogram to them
A $1.5 million fundraising effort will purchase and equip a motorcoach for a new Mobile Mammography Clinic to visit communities across northeast Ohio
Women are busy and too often they don't prioritize their own health. It's just one of the reasons some women skip their mammogram each year. For others, lack of insurance, language barriers, lack of transportation and other reasons prevent them from making an appointment.
You can help all women get annual breast cancer screenings that could save their lives. Right in their own neighborhood.
Mammograms are the first line of defense for detecting breast cancer in its earliest and most treatable stages. We need your help to make screening exams accessible for all women across northeast Ohio, even if they are busy or lack the ability to pay.
The Mercy Health Foundation is raising $1.5 million to purchase and equip a 40-foot motorcoach that will provide mobile mammography services for women, right in their own community or at their place of work. The mobile clinic will be equipped with the same state-of-the-art 3D mammography technology that is found at the hospitals and staffed with caring, well-trained technologists to make every exam a more comfortable experience.
Donate or pledge your support today to make mobile mammography available as soon as possible for all women in Lorain and across northeast Ohio.
Every gift is important and makes an impact, helping us reach the $1.5 million goal needed to start the mobile mammography service at Mercy Health. Gifts of any amount are appreciated and will help make this life-saving service a reality for women in our community.
Gift commitments of at least $10,000 can be pledged over a period of up to five years, with installments paid annually or even quarterly. Non-cash assets can be contributed, such as gifts of stocks, bonds, real estate, life insurance policies and other options.
A limited number of naming opportunities are available and provide meaningful recognition of the program's most generous donors. Naming recognition signage can even include a tribute message in honor or memory of someone special.
