The 2024 Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing Scholarship Reception was an evening of fellowship
Both staff and students gave testament to the profound impact of the scholarships
On Monday, September 30, about 200 attendees arrived at the Country Club of Virginia. They were there for the Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing Scholarship Reception, an annual tradition. Every year, Bon Secours Richmond Health Care Foundation hosts the event to recognize new recipients.
Scholarship donors, students and their guests gathered together for an evening of celebration. Dr. Chris-Tenna Perkins, Campus Director and Dean of Academic Affairs, welcomed everyone. Dr. Brian Baird followed with a heartwarming reflection. And last but not least, Autumn Little, a student, shared her nursing school journey. She spoke about how receiving these scholarships has shaped her life, thanking donors.
Donors then had the opportunity to meet the students who received their scholarships. It's an important moment for recipients to express thanks in person and create lasting connections. When you support the Foundation's scholarships, you make a big difference in students' lives. It's a prime example of how giving to health care education nurtures the entire community.
