Jimmy gives because he wants to help health care change lives in his community
Even after years of involvement, Jimmy Carchedi is still impressed with how the Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley supports his community.
“Having access to things like the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center is so important here,” he said. “I started out as a participant in the Panerathon, a 10k/two-mile walk/ run that supports the Joanie Abdu Breast Center—and now I’m happy to be a sponsor of it.”
“People in Mahoning Valley shouldn’t have to travel far away for excellent health care.”
Jimmy said he’s always interested in learning more about what our hospitals are doing for the community, including the mobile mammography van and the mobile dental van. He has also been a supporter of Joanie’s Promise, which ensures that every woman in the Mahoning Valley has access to breast screenings and diagnostic tests, regardless of ability to pay.
“I want everyone to be able to get high quality health care, right here at home.”
