Molly Frost’s Story

Bon Secours - Richmond, VA

Thanks to you, Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital had the tools to save Molly’s life from stroke multiple times

Molly Frost recalls vividly the moment during her first brain bleed stroke that she was asked which hospital she wanted to go to.

“I said I wanted to go to St. Mary’s,” she says. “I was within a matter of minutes from dying, but they had everything ready for me. If it weren’t for their quick action, I would have died.”

Molly had a dangerous arteriovenous malformation and would go on to suffer two more strokes over the next eight years. St. Mary’s responded to her emergencies every single time.

“Every second counts when you’re having a stroke and they knew exactly what to do to save me. St. Mary’s was the hospital that saved my life—three times.”

Because of your support, St. Mary’s has the tools and expertise needed to respond to strokes like Molly’s with time and precision.

“Molly’s story says it all,” says her mother, Ann. “They saved her life. Everyone was so committed to saving her life.”

Ann, Molly and their family are grateful that your donations support St. Mary’s and that their efforts led to a complete recovery for Molly, who now is the mother of two wonderful children of her own.

“For anyone who has ever had a loved one who has had to go through what our Molly went through and come out on the other side, there is simply not enough gratitude,” Ann says.

“Thank you, from the bottom of my heart,” Molly says. “Funds raised for medical treatments, technology and research are lifesaving.”
