Eddie and Wendy give because they want quality health care for everyone in their community
When Springfield Community Hospital closed in 2011, Eddie and Wendy Ford knew it was time to offer even more support to Mercy Health's Springfield Regional Medical Center.
“When we went from two hospitals to one, we knew this one hospital had to be successful,” Eddie said.
“The people of Clark County were in dire need of services, so we want to make sure our only hospital thrives.”
As longtime donors, the Ford family supports many initiatives, including the Mercy Health Springfield Cancer Center.
“Like everyone else, cancer has affected our family,” Wendy said. “We’ve lost so many to that terrible disease, so giving is very personal for us.”
The Fords believe in supporting hospitals in any way you can.
“It’s part of the infrastructure,” Eddie said. “You need hospitals, police and fire to be safe. We need those things to help our community grow and thrive and be better than what it is.”
