Because of you, new doctors are getting the hands-on training they need
Dr. Jones can further her education, thanks to your support of a new residency program.
Your gift is helping new doctors like Rebecca Jones develop habits to serve her patients well for years to come.
As part of the new residency program at Mercy Health-Anderson Hospital, Dr. Jones, along with seven other future physicians, is advancing her education in family medicine as well as learning how to keep up with current research.
“I feel like one of the most important things I’m doing is just getting into the habit of keeping up with cutting-edge research so I can provide the best possible care for my patients,” she said. “Consistently doing this now will make sure when I’m in my own practice without anyone looking over my shoulder, I’ll still be looking for evidence-based research.”
Your generous contribution is also helping Ohio’s eastern counties attract and retain physicians. Dr. Jones, who grew up in nearby Fairfield, is excited to be back in the area and hopes to stay even after her training is complete.
“I really want to thank the donors for making it possible for me to be part of this program. I’m so happy to be serving in my community.”
“This is such a great learning experience to make us better physicians,” Dr. Jones said. “I love that it is focused on being an academic program at a community hospital. All of us are hoping as we move in our practices, the patients we see now will follow us.”
