As Chief Nursing & Quality Officer for Bon Secours Hampton Roads, Cassie Lewis works to ensure that nurses are prepared and practicing at the highest level possible to provide patient quality of care and safety.

When Cassie learned that she could become a Bon Secours Hampton Roads Foundation Power Hour Give for Good campaign donor, and dedicate those funds to support her role in the ministry, it was an easy decision.

“The Foundation’s scholarships are a way that we show our appreciation for what nurses do.”

“In our profession, sometimes nurses are at the bedside for extended periods of time,” she says. “Foundation scholarships allow them to go to conferences and meet and develop relationships with other nurses outside our organization. It gives them the chance to see that they are part of something bigger than themselves and even this organization.”
