Bon Secours - Richmond, VA

Bob and Susan give because they know support is vital for the future of health care in the Northern Neck

After Bob and Susan Wayland retired from the EPA, they went searching for a new place to live. They settled on Virginia’s beautiful Northern Neck. Now, they spend their retirement sailing on the surrounding Potomac and Rappahannock rivers, and Chesapeake Bay.

“The people are extremely friendly and nice and look out for each other,” Susan says. “Here, we have not only the great people, but the beautiful environment. This is heaven on earth for us.”

The Waylands know that the area would be much different if it were not for Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital.

“Having a first-class medical facility like Rappahannock General Hospital makes a big difference in the security that people feel in living on the Northern Neck.”

This is the reason why they support the Bon Secours Richmond Foundation. “It’s important for everyone who uses the hospital, or may use the hospital, to support it because it’s a really important asset for the community,” Bob says.
