Maria Sanko and Dino Guagenti might be cousins, but they are as close as siblings. Not only do they work together at CCR Realty in Lima, but they also share the same philanthropic goals. Both Maria and Dino are loyal donors to the Mercy Health Foundation Greater Lima. Dino sees the impact of their gifts firsthand as a board member.

“If you want to make a difference, and you want to make a difference here in Lima, give to Mercy Health because the money stays here,” says Dino. “It helps our people.”

Maria and Dino have donated generously to the Mercy Health — St. Rita’s Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Center. They are now leading an effort to fund a new Women’s Health Center. They hope other donors will join them.

“It’ll be a beautiful way to honor the women in your lives,” says Maria. “We’re doing it to honor our mothers, and also to provide a place where women can go and not feel alone in the world.”
