Susan gives to Mercy Health Foundation Irvine to help her community keep up with changing needs
Susan Hawkins is so proud of having a community hospital like Mercy Health - Marcum and Wallace Hospital. That’s why she chooses to give back, both financially and with her time.
As a member of the hospital auxiliary, Susan sees how important even small donations like hers can be when it comes to caring for folks in our area.
“I’ve always designated my donation to go to the Greatest Need Fund,” she says. “I’m not a big donor, just a common everyday person on a limited income who wants to help.”
“You don’t have to be a huge contributor to make a significant difference.”
As a long-term resident of Irvine, Susan has seen how the hospital has grown over the years and how her designated gift matters.
“Marcum and Wallace Hospital has changed over the years and the community needs have grown,” she says. “Having the Greatest Need Fund available has given the flexibility needed to provide new programs.”
