As director of nursing at Mercy Health - Marcum and Wallace Hospital, Ellen Stotts is on the front lines of health care at her hospital. She sees the needs every day—in patients, in the community, in the hospital and in the nurses that she manages.

She also sees the ways in which the Mercy Health Foundation Irvine steps up to help meet those needs.

“It’s always been important to me to give to the Foundation,” she says of her recurring donations.

“I have seen firsthand how gifts are used. When employees have hardships, thanks to donations to the Foundation, we are able to provide assistance.”

Ellen continues, “As a director, just having the Foundation there to allow us to buy equipment to help us keep our patients or employees safe and be able to provide top-notch care is huge for us.”

“To see how well Mercy Health takes care of their employees, it’s phenomenal,” she says. “It makes me very proud.”
