Suzanne Hammel's childhood ingrained in her the reasons she supports the Mercy Health Foundation Greater Lima, today.
“I see how the Foundation helps people, and I think it’s beautiful. Together we help people out and make sure that they can get the care that they need.”
“My parents have always been big on giving,” she says. “When I was young, my mom never had a garage sale. She always gave away things to our church, Goodwill or the Salvation Army because we were blessed, and we were called to be good stewards of what we have. That has stuck with me my entire life, so when I have had the opportunity to do so, I have tried to do the same.”
As a clinical pharmacy specialist at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center, Suzanne lives that principle with a recurring gift to the Foundation through payroll deduction.
“That’s what we are called to do as disciples of Jesus.”
