As a Mercy Health Foundation Greater Lima donor for more than 30 years, Carl Berger makes sure folks in his community have access to care right here at home.

“The fact that people with serious illnesses can stay in their community and don't have to go to a larger city is a great thing. I’m proud to be part of it.”

Carl has put his support into action with gifts to the Mercy Health - St. Rita’s Medical Center renovation.

“With a facility like St. Rita's, it’s possible for people to have procedures locally that were not available before.”

Carl also contributed to the establishment of the Graduate Medical Education Center. He continues to support behavioral health initiatives.

“The hospital helps people all of the time,” he says. "I want to do what I can to improve the care they provide. There are so many programs offered to benefit the community that rely on donations.”
