Kathy Dixon is a retired teacher and principal. She donates to the medical education program at Mercy Health — Fairfield Hospital. For her, it is the perfect way to honor the memory of her husband, Steve.

“When I was told about the medical education program, I knew that was how I could honor my husband,” Kathy says. “I’m an educator, so that cause spoke loudly to me. What’s happening at the hospital is phenomenal, and I’m happy to be part of it.”

Physicians and staff at Mercy Health — Fairfield provided exceptional care for Steve’s serious health issues. And Kathy takes great comfort in knowing Steve received faith-based health care.

“Doctors and nurses are the earthly servants who provide service through God’s hand,” she says.

Steve’s calling was providing compassionate care for others. And his family are proud to honor his life with donations in support of medical education.
