When Vicki Lotz was diagnosed with cancer, she and her husband Greg were able to battle the disease with the help of multiple Mercy Health care facilities.

“We had very good health coverage, and it was all well taken care of for us,” Greg says. “But Vicki and I would often talk about others who did not have what we had.”

“We decided to give back from the standpoint of being grateful that we had good coverage.”

Unfortunately, Vicki lost her three-year long cancer battle. To honor her, Greg kept their agreement, making a gift to the Mercy Health Foundation Greater Cincinnati’s Greatest Needs Fund.

“We were definitely grateful to have Mercy Health options available to us. We responded with the donation because we were grateful for the care that we received and the fact that it didn’t place a financial burden on us,” he says.

“We wanted to help others for whom it might.”
