Ellen Stotts is on the front lines of health care at her hospital. She is the director of nursing at Mercy Health – Marcum and Wallace Hospital. Every day, Ellen sees the needs in patients, in the community, in the hospital, and in the nurses that she manages.

She also sees the ways in which the Mercy Health Foundation Irvine steps up to help meet those needs.

“It’s always been important to me to give back,” she says of her recurring donations. “I have seen firsthand how gifts are used.”

“When employees have hardships, because of donations we are able to help,” she says. “As a director, it’s important to have that resource. The foundation helps us buy equipment, helps keep our patients safe, employees safe, and helps us to provide top-notch care. It is huge for us.”

“To see how well Mercy Health takes care of their employees, it’s phenomenal,” she says. “It makes me very proud to be a part of it.”
