Anthony breezed through back-to-back knee replacements thanks to the state-of-the-art technology you provided
Anthony Scruse tried everything he could to get relief from chronic knee pain that plagued him, including regular shots and wearing a mechanical brace. “I suffered through that process for a number of years,” he says.
When there was nothing left for his doctor to do, they started discussing a knee replacement, a procedure that caused Anthony great stress. But, because of your support, Anthony’s doctor was able to use the Mako robotic-arm assisted surgery technology.
“I was glad he was using leading-edge technology and he said that recovery would be much quicker,” he recalls of those early conversations. “I was all about recovering quicker.”
Anthony’s first surgery was such a success that he chose quickly to have the other knee replaced, freeing him completely from knee pain.
“I used to sleep with knee pain. I used to walk with knee pain. I used to negotiate stairs with knee pain. I have none of that pain anymore, and my quality of life is way better than it used to be.”
“I can’t do all the things that I used to do, but the things I do now I do without pain.”
