When Katelin Spagnolo went looking for a hospital to have her first baby, she knew that she wanted it to be close to her home and her work. After all, you never know when the baby will decide it’s time to be born. Thanks to your gift, she found everything she needed at the Women’s Center at Bon Secours St. Francis Eastside Hospital.

That was back in 2018 with her first child. When it was time for her second child to be born, a son named Stryker, Katelin says it was an easy choice to return to St. Francis Eastside.

“I had a great experience there, and that’s why we came back.”

While her recent experience was as positive as her first, it was different. Your gift supported room renovations, critical medical equipment updates, state-of-the-art technology and expanded support for the clinical team. It also had a new name: The Freissle Family Women’s Center.

The new advancements proved important as Katelin had complications which required her to stay in the hospital ten days before delivery.

“I’m extremely grateful, especially given everything I went through with this most recent pregnancy and delivery,” she says. “The rooms were spacious and clean and the medical staff was phenomenal. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.”

Katelin encourages others to learn about the The Freissle Family Women’s Center.

“I tell my friends and family that if they are having a baby to at least come do a tour and a walk through because I had such a great experience,” she says.
