Donors like you help Stepheny with the daily burdens of having cancer

A year ago, Stepheny Glover had a dream that saved her life. She remembers it vividly—something was wrong with her breast. The shock of it woke her at 2 a.m. She immediately did a self-exam and felt what she describes as knots.

“I believe God was telling me that something was wrong,” she says.

Stepheny was particularly alarmed because she'd had a mammogram the previous year. It was completely clean. After her dream she had another mammogram right away. It revealed four lumps. A biopsy confirmed the worst.

"It’s been a lot, I’ve had every symptom and side effect," says Stephany. "I'm still undergoing chemo and radiation."

Amid all her trials, Stepheny is thankful that you've been there for her. Your gift has helped her in so many ways she didn't know she'd need.

“Until you go through something like this, you don’t think about how the cost of everything adds up. Cancer is hard financially, mentally and physically.”

“If you don’t have much to start with, you can lose everything."

Your gift supports cancer patients with everything from hats and wigs, to help getting to and from chemotherapy appointments, to in-home medical equipment. As a single mother of two, the burdens cancer brings are even more strenuous.

"When you have cancer, it's like your whole family has it because everyone has to pitch in and help," she says.

Stepheny’s grateful that you pitched in for her. "Thank you so much. Mercy has been amazing to me. I tell everyone I can about how much they care."
