Kathleen Bitsura found purpose in her career as an associate at Bon Secours St. Francis. Now, she's finding new purpose in her retirement, as a donor to the Bon Secours St. Francis Foundation.

“Bon Secours' mission encompasses many things,” says Kathleen.

“I've always felt the real beauty of the mission is taking care of people in a kind, compassionate way. I saw it there every day, and I feel called to serve by giving.”

Kathleen makes frequent gifts to the Louis P. Batson Cancer Patient Assistance Fund. “I lost my mother to breast cancer, so I have that in my heart.” And she recently honored her dear friend Sr. Dorothy Brogan, a retired Bon Secours Chaplin with a gift to the Pearls & Pumps event; a benefit for the Pearlie Harris Center for Breast Health.

“I think there's something to be said about a faith-based health system. I was always happy to represent Bon Secours St. Francis. It made me feel good.”
