Frank Rickman knows first-hand how important it is to have a hospital in his community of Franklin, VA. He wants to make sure his small city continues to access to great care.

“It is rare for a city of our size to have a hospital like Bon Secours Southampton Medical Center," Frank says.

“Because we are a small community, it's especially important to financially support the medical center. That way, we can compete for doctors and other medical professionals."

With just over 8,000 residents and a rural location, Franklin is more fortunate than many small towns in terms of health care. Frank gives to make sure everyone in the area has access to the same outstanding care his own family received.

“We are somewhat isolated so to have a hospital at all is great. My stepfather had a heart attack and he was able to be evaluated right here. We have to have an excellent facility.”
