Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, Mercy Health - Marcum and Wallace Hospital has provided chronic illness management and end-of-life care to patients in our community weekly. The hospital aims to improve that level of compassionate care with the implementation of a Palliative Care Program that will focus not only on managing pain and symptoms, but also on providing support and guidance for loved ones navigating incredibly hard decisions. The program's mission is to bring comfort, dignity, and peace to patients and families during some of the most difficult times of their lives.
Compassionate Palliative Care
Your donation to Mercy Health Foundation Irvine helps support palliative care services such as: comfort care; emotional, social, and spiritual support; guidance with difficult treatment choices; pain relief; and symptom management.

Families of patients with serious or life-threatening illnesses and conditions are often overwhelmed, frightened, and searching for comfort. With a designated area for palliative care, patients can stay in comfort and peace close to home while families receive the support they need through:
- Guidance with difficult healthcare decisions
- Ongoing emotional and spiritual support
Your support will also help the Medical Unit purchase needed equipment to accommodate the program, provide additional training or certifications needed for the medical care team, and identify needed supplies, equipment, and training in primary care practices for palliative care patients.
