41 associate dependents across the Mercy Health Springfield and Urbana markets receive scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The spirit of generosity and support for education continues to shine through the Give for Good Scholarship program. This year, scholarships were awarded to 41 associate dependents, totaling $23,000 in educational assistance for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The selection committee reviewed an impressive group of applications submitted by students throughout the Mercy Health Springfield and Urbana markets, including contracted employees. Applicants demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership, volunteerism, and dedication to their communities.
In addition to the scholarship awards, 24 applicants received an extra $100 scholarship enhancement because their parent or guardian is a Give for Good donor. These students each received a total scholarship award of $600, recognizing the impact that employee giving has on supporting future generations.
To qualify for the scholarship program, applicants must be a dependent of a Mercy Health Springfield or Urbana market employee in good standing. Students must also be a high school graduate, have earned a GED, or currently be enrolled in post-secondary coursework. Applicants are required to actively volunteer in community service organizations or extracurricular activities and must be accepted into a 2026-2027 academic program at a technical school, college, or university.
The Give for Good Scholarship program continues to invest in the future by helping students pursue their educational goals while celebrating the dedication and service-minded values shared by Mercy Health associates and their families.
Congratulations to all of the 2026 graduates and scholarship recipients as they begin this exciting next chapter in their educational journeys.
