Marcum and Wallace Hospital renovations

Mercy Health — Irvine, KY
01/16/2024

Thanks to Foundation donors, flooring is being replaced in the hospital's main areas

The project is part of a larger plan to renovate Mercy Health Marcum and Wallace Hospital

The Mercy Health Foundation Irvine board of directors committed $200,000 toward a major renovation project at Marcum and Wallace Hospital. Support from donations, proceeds from fundraising events and grant awards allow the Foundation to provide funding for important projects at the hospital that improve the patient and visitor experience, renovate or expand facilities or add new state-of-the-art medical technology.

Thanks to funding made possible by our donors, the Foundation will cover part of the cost to install approximately 30,000 square feet of durable new flooring for the hospital's main areas. The existing tile flooring dates back to 2004 and is cracked, crumbling and discolored. New flooring will provide a better first impression and safer walking surface for patients and visitors at the hospital.

Renovations at Mercy Health Marcum and Wallace Hospital will take up to two years, with the project slated for completion in late 2025.
