An evening of generosity, celebration and purpose brought our community together in support of local youth at the seventh annual Red Door Gala on Thursday, June 11.

Held at the Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center, the event welcomed approximately 350 sponsors, donors, volunteers and community members, raising nearly $750,000 to support the development of Mercy Health – St. Rita's Medical Center's new Adolescent Behavioral Health Outpatient Partial Hospitalization Program.

The program will provide structured, intensive daytime behavioral health treatment for adolescents while allowing patients to return home each evening. By offering specialized care in an outpatient setting, the program will help young people receive the support they need while remaining connected to their families, schools and communities.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed cocktails, heavy hors d'oeuvres and fellowship before gathering for the formal program, which included a Mission Support hand raise, special entertainment and recognition of this year's Mercy Club Award recipient.

"Our Sisters of Mercy taught us to respond to the most pressing needs of our time," shared event leaders. "Thanks to the generosity of our community, we continue that mission today by investing in what matters most—the health and well-being of our children and families."

The gala also celebrated JJ Sreenan, recipient of the 2026 Mercy Club Award, recognizing his extraordinary leadership, vision and commitment to advancing health care in our region. Through his efforts to help establish Graduate Medical Education programs in Lima and champion The Ohio State University College of Medicine's Community Medicine Track, Sreenan has played an instrumental role in strengthening the future of medical education and physician recruitment throughout northwest Ohio.

The success of the evening would not have been possible without the generosity of sponsors, donors, volunteers and guests who rallied around a shared vision of expanding access to behavioral health care for local adolescents.

Thank you to everyone who supported this year's Red Door Gala. Your generosity is helping ensure more young people and their families have access to compassionate, high-quality behavioral health services close to home. Together, we are continuing Mercy Health's mission of bringing hope, healing and a healthier tomorrow to the communities we are privileged to serve.
